About Sainte Foy Resort
Nestled in the heart of the Tarentaise Valley in the hidden gem of a ski resort Sainte Foy.
Renowned for it perfectly formed pistes and it's acres of off piste potential Sainte Foy really has it all to keep every taste satisfied.
It is the perfect playground for kids, which give the resort a fantastic family appeal.
Only a 10-20 minute drive from the larger resorts of Les Arc, Le Rosiere, Tignes and Val D'Isere. Sainte Foy is the perfect place to explore all the Tarentaise has to offer. Also, It has been known for it's world class off-piste & incredible snow conditions.
Lunchtime dining
There are three mountain restaurants above the village.
The Brevettes
This is at the top of the first lift is our favourite. The Ravioli Forestiere is a life-changing experience! They offer great food in a rustic setting although it's best not to be in a hurry if it's busy! Prices are fair given the quality of the food, but there are cheaper options.
Chez Leon
Over the road, Chez Leon is offering gourmet crepes in a restaurant atmosphere but prices are expensive and you need to pre-book.
Restaurant Les Marquises
Near the base of the Marquise chairlift. It has a two large terraces, with fantastic open views down the valley. The food is of very high quality and the service is very prompt and friendly. They offer substantial main courses, including a gourmet burger, which is very popular.
Maison à Colonnes
This resides at the foot of the slopes. They serve very high quality local food in the evenings but has more of a fast-food type menu at lunch-time.
L'Apres
In the resort centre, just off the slopes, (formerly the Pitchouli bar) serves great pizzas.
L'à Coeur
L'à Coeur serves great French food.
All of the restaurants on the mountain and at the foot of the slopes have terraces for sunny days.

In the evening, there are four restaurants within the resort to choose from on our night off.

Maison à Colonnes - Typical Savoyard food
L'à Coeur - sophisticated and well-presented food and has a lively bar.
L'Apres - Pizza & burgers alongside a very lively bar
If you're willing to travel a short distance in the evenings, there are a few more options outside of the resort.
Monal
In Sainte Foy village, the has a great bar which also serves pizzas and has a very good restaurant upstairs.
La Grange
Also in Sainte Foy village, this is another very good bar/restaurant
Further down the valley,
La Perce-Neige in Viclaire, between Bourg Saint Maurice and Sainte Foy, is also excellent.
Chez Mèrie
in the twin villages ofLe Miroir and La Masure where you will find a restaurant called . This restaurant is reknowned as one of the very best in the area and quite an experience. The building is a traditional chalet and food is cooked over an open fire to a very high standard. Prices are correspondingly expensive! If you have travelled to the resort by your own car or hired a car at the airport, then it's only 5 minutes drive to Sainte Foy village or 10 minutes to Chez Mèrie.
Nightlife
L'à Coeur offer excellent food, great atmosphere and an awesome happy hour. L'Apres bar in the resort centre also serve food in the evenings.
The resort often puts on other entertainment, especially at holiday times, which includes live music in the resort centre, torchlit descents, tobogganing, night-skiing on the nursery slopes and local produce fair.
For a big night out, guests sometimes make the short journey up the valley to Val d'Isere or Tignes on our night off. Both have a wide choice of restaurants as well as a multitude of bars and nightclubs. A return taxi trip is around €20 per head if you can put a group of 6 or so together.
Shopping
Sainte Foy has two small supermarkets, a handful of ski shops and a souvenir shop. There's also a cash point.
We can offer a 10% discount on gear hired at ZigZags if pre-booked through us.
ZigZags stock very high quality hire gear and provide the most thorough fitting service I've seen in a slope-side ski hire shop. They're also very flexible about swapping gear during your stay. Going off piste and want to use fat skis for the day? A snowboarder and want to try skiing for the day? No problem!
e aware that there is no pharmacy in Sainte Foy, the closest options are in Seez, La Rosière or Tignes. So it's a good idea to take everything you need with you.
Spas
Spas
There are a number of spas in the resort, each located within the newer apartment block developments. They can be used by non-residents, but opening times and access to some facilities can be restricted.
The spas offer a wide range of massage and other treatments, but these get booked up very quickly, especially during the 1700 - 1900 aprés ski times. Let us know in advance if you want to book a session and we'll make the arrangements for you.
Treatment costs start at around 60€. There are also local independent masseuses and physiotherapists with whom we can make arrangements to visit the chalet. This typically costs around 45€ per half hour.
