The Food

Our policy on food is simple: good food and lots of it. For the summer season, we've thought hard about what mountain-bikers want to eat and we've decided to move away from the soufflés and fancy stuff on the winter menu and give you more of the great, filling post-ride food that you want. We've gone for a gastro-pub style menu featuring spiced lamb-burgers, gourmet pizzas and some of our favourites like our moroccan-style lamb tagine. Breakfast has been designed to get you fully fuelled-up for a hard day's riding and includes different fresh smoothies every day, loads of cereals and toast plus something hot every morning like scrambled eggs & smoked salmon served on brioche or the classic fry-up. To all our previous guests - don't worry, the cakes haven't changed a bit!

All our accomodation prices include meals on a half-board basis. That gets you hot breakfast every day, three-course dinner every night (except Wednesday) and all the cakes, tea, coffee, wine and beer you can handle. We also provide packed lunches - we supply stocks of bread, ham, cheese etc for you to make your own sandwiches in the morning plus we provide cereal bars, fruit & chocolate. We keep lunch flexible as some days we're out in the wilds and a packed-lunch is essential, other days there's plenty of cafés and restaurants that we can stop off at, if you prefer.

We can cater for most special dietary requirements if we're given enough warning so please let us know your needs as early as possible. We've catered for many, many different diets in the past, from vegetarians to severe allergies so we're happy to handle almost anything.

We take one night off per week. Sainte Foy resort has a great restaurant 200m from the chalet which is open for most of the summer. Sainte Foy village (five minutes drive from the resort) has more options for eating out, we can advise on how to get there and back in the evening.
