We're always getting asked questions like "I've only ridden in the UK up until now, will I be OK in the Alps?" or "I'm a rad-core, super-shred uber-dude and I'd like to bring my girlfriend/wife/boyfriend(!) along, will he/she be OK on your trails?". While we genuinely have trails out here to suit almost any level and we'll always try to group people up with other riders of a similar ability, we thought it might be good to offer a riding week aimed at developing less experienced riders' abilities.

The Alpine First-timers week is aimed at people on their first trip to the Alps who want to make a gentle transition from UK riding to Alpine riding. Equally, this trip would be great for riders who are getting comfortable on UK trail centre red-grade trails and would like to push their level a little.

The main aim of this week will still be to get as much top-quality singletrack riding done as possible. At the same time though, we'll run regular skills sessions to look at bike techniques such as body position, cornering, front & rear wheel lifts and eventually jumps and drops. We'll also spend more time checking out technical trail features, looking at the best ways to ride them and sessioning sections until we've got them nailed. The riding will be at a more moderate pace so that everyone has a good time and hopefully learns something along the way.
